# Criss Angel's Mindfreak Seance Episodes

Criss Angel, best known as a magician and star of A&E's "Criss Angel Mindfreak" (2005-2010), conducted two seance-themed episodes around Halloween, attempting to prove whether the living can communicate with the dead.

## Celebrity Seance (2006)

**Originally aired:** October 30, 2006 (Season 2, Episode 20)

Criss brought celebrity guests to one of America's most haunted locations—the Amargosa Hotel in Death Valley, California—for what was billed as "the most insane séance ever conducted." The 21-minute episode featured:

- **Deborah Gibson** (singer/songwriter)
- **Steve Valentine** (actor, Crossing Jordan)
- **Three Six Mafia** (Oscar-winning musical group)
- Paranormal investigators from Ghost Connection

The group spent a night in the reportedly haunted hotel as Criss attempted to connect with forces beyond comprehension. The episode was filmed in May 2006, with 6 hours of footage condensed into the final cut. Intuitive counselor Erin Pavlina, who appeared on the episode with the Ghost Connection team, noted that her segment was reduced from hours of filming to just 2 minutes. [1][2]

Criss returned for another Halloween seance, this time at the Artisan Hotel in Las Vegas—a location also known for paranormal activity. This episode featured Criss "interacting with the afterlife and revealing secrets from the spirits." Notable phenomena captured on camera included Criss walking on the ceiling of the hotel. [3][4]
